The Comics Pull List (Oct. 8)
October 7th 2008 06:40
Tuesdays will be my pull list for what I pick up/think of picking up Wednesdays or Thursdays from the comic shop.
BPRD The Warning #4 is out for the Hellboy fans, of which I'm not one. Cool sequel though.
Bomb Queen V #4 will be out for Image. I wasn't into Bomb Queen initially. I thought it was trying to be a little too political while sprinkling in some raunchier material. But it kind of grew on me as more fun and satirical than political in nature.
Batman RIP continues in Detective Comics. Just can't get into it. I guess I'm all Crisissed out. Knowing the resolution is in Final Crisis and not being into that story might be souring me on this intersecting story.
Green Lantern has a Blackest NIght prologue. I'm all crossovered out, but I'm into Green Lantern so I'll probably check it out.
Final Crisis: Revelations is still answering the question of why God allows bad things to happen to good people and how the villains sometimes win without interference from the All Mighty. Not feeling this one at all.
3 X-titles out on Wednesday, all of them probably building to nothing that would interest me.
Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane is supposed to read young, but I've found it to be an entertaining read. I like seeing a version of their story based on Mary Jane's POV, than the usual Spidey/Peter side. Ultimate Spider-Man is still my title of choice though.
The Marvel Zombies are back just in time for Halloween. I'm gonna be into where they can go from the second series.
Secret Invasion has a Deadpool Tie-In and the 3rd chapter of the Inhumans dealing with the Invasion. The fourth wall breaking MERC with a mouth gets a couple of bucks from me, but I'm not gonna put down further money to get an incremental piece of the Invasion story with the Inhumans.
Well, those are my picks for the week. Five titles and Robot Chicken Season 3 will probably entertain me in my downtime for under $50.
