The Comics Pull List (Oct. 29)

You know, Final Crisis #4 was more interesting than I thought it would have been. More interesting than the Secret Invasion books I picked up last week. Onto what's coming out this week.
Justice League of America #26 - The artwork on this series has been great. The covers give a classic JLofA feel to them. With all that being said, I just can't get into this book. Seems like all style and no substance. Vixen and Animal Man star in this arc. Love Animal Man, so a maybe from me just for him.
Teen Titans #64 - The title that got me back into comics was Young Justice. This title had that YJ feel to it up until that Terror Titans arc. Not for me anymore.
Avengers Initiative #18 - I was thinking this title would end up being like West Coast Avengers or Justice League Europe. Shockingly, its turned into one of the maybe 4 books I automatically pick up every month. Good writing, good art and good storytelling tends to do that I guess. Secret Invasion tie-in and more teasing on the identity of Mutant Zero. They seem to be hinting at a Jean Grey connection, but who knows.
Ultimate Spider-Man Annual #3 - This is supposed to be a controversial issue. And every preview/hint is pointing to sex. And if that's the case than dealing with sex as a teen is somewhat controversial. Here's the thing. Comics don't skew young anymore. Not really young. Most of the time I've been into a store there are more teenagers than kids, but I think the market has skewed older than even teens. So how controversial is the issue when more people that pick up the title are over say 16? But I digress. USM always a good pickup.
Spawn #185 - Spawn has hit over 180 issues. Stopped caring after 50. Think this book could still be fresh if it were in the Marvel/DCU. But it gets pidgeonholed to the battle between Heaven/Hell in this format.
Not much jumping out at me this week so I'll probably just pick up the Initiative book next week.
