King of the Hill cancelled

November 1st 2008 20:20
Time magazine named this show one of the greatest TV shows of all time.

Sorry, but I didn't get it at all. Didn't think it was a bad show. Just thought that if it were part of an animated comedy block it should be funny.

"I sell propane and propane related products". So if you say those words enough times, I'm supposed to laugh? Sorry, but it played like Beavis and ButtHead to me without the toilet humor. And with no toilet humor that show is just two idiots giggling and fighting.

King of the Hill has its moments and really, really subtle humor. Still, when the humor is that subtle you'd think that the series would have run its course years ago. It just feels like you watch the show to keep watching the show, as opposed to being entertained.

Maybe not being from that middle part of America makes it irrelevant to me. Or it could just not be funny.

Either way, I'm pretty indifferent to its cancellation. And still completely confused as to how it got ratings and how it stayed on the air for so long.
