John McCain blames me for the bailout not passing
October 1st 2008 22:06
Ok, not me personally, but middle class Americans who don't want to give money to BAD Wall Street companies.
His initial statement blamed Barrack Obama and the Democrats for not passing the bill. So you and your leadership got only 1/3 or your party to vote for the bill you think will save the economy, but you blame the people that got 2/3 of their party to go along with it.
Now, the middle class who don't want to pay MORE taxes are too greedy. You should take your relatively small slice of the pie and give it to Wall Street. Don't worry though, those CEOs will have a cap on their income. They'll have to survive on $500k a year. That'll showem. And the people that couldn't afford their homes to begin with, well they still may or may not lose their homes but the govt. will own them so its all good.
If its about saving homes, then great. If its about keeping jobs, even better (where's Hanes' bailout?). But its not. Its about saving companies that oversaturated the market with bad bond holdings that their company can no longer back.
Now CNN did the dirty work for the bill. They scared people into thinking that not passing this bill is gonna cause a Great Depression. And saving these bad financials will be the savior of the economy. And McCain gets a new scapegoat in the people that didn't want the bill passed.
Congrats John McCain. You've said all the wrong things and ticked off everyone including this Republican. So now Senator Obama only has to say "Change" a couple hundred more times and he has the election sewn up. Good Job.
Its his type of logic that makes you think being Canadian isn't so bad after all. Ok, maybe its not that bad, but it still sucks.

You hit the nail on the head with your post for the most part.
Mortgage Brokers, the people creating the bonds backed by these mortgages, the financials buying these bonds from the other financials.
My background is economics and marketing and I honestly couldn't tell you where the blame goes, who to be mad at, how to fix the problem, whatev.
But just knowing the brokers and bond guys saturating the market with bad debts was one of the main causes shows you have a very good grasp of what's goin on.
And you say it in a way that is SO much more entertaining than I could.
