Fantasy NFL Week 6

October 9th 2008 07:15
Its Thursday so its fantasy sports day on allknowinggeek. Next week will be 2 posts, one NFL and one less informative NHL but I'll discuss that in that specific post.

QB
I'm looking at Favre and Romo for the top QBs for the week. Cincy's always fun to pick on aerially and the Jets have performed better this year at home. I just don't see Dallas going to the run as much against the Cards, especially with TO potentially being a problem if he doesn't get his.
Streaming wise, I'd put in Frerotte again. He is in Detroit after all. I still don't buy into Kyle Orton, but Atlanta's pass D aren't worldbreakers. Would have loved to see Rosenfels get another shot, but Schaub is back so that kills that.

RB
Adrian Peterson bounce back game anyone? I'd also start Michael Turner if I had him. I don't think that Bears interior defense is all its cracked up to be.

WR
Streaming wise, I'd go with any Jets that are available, Ronald Curry with the hope Oakland wants to prove something and him being the main deep threat, Randle El just cause its the Rams, and DeSean Jackson cause I still have memories of the focus on him 2 games back.

TE
Looking for Scheffler to have a big week for Denver. Just don't see any JAX linebackers keeping up with him and the safeties should be busy supporting the corners. If I had to stream for this week, I'd probably just go upside offenses because I don't see much. Fasano maybe because Parcells has faith in the guy and Kevin Boss for the Giants because everyone on that team has been running hot and hopefully some of that runs off on him.

K
Anyone in need has to already have picked up NO's new kicker Mehlhaff. Big leg big offense = at least some points right? Suisham and Longwell look good for points this week and the GIants probably putting up pts this Monday makes Carney a good stream again. Kris Brown might be a good play. MIA with decent red zone d may mean a fg attempt or two if the Texans can get the ball down there.

Good luck and hope I was helpful

Scheffler out as of last night, so no TE pick of the week.
